Smart Plug Questions

Do I need to pay for Premium to use the plug?
No. The plug works with the app's Free Demo Mode. Your child earns Star Points from the free question loop and spends them on TV time. Premium adds thousands of state-aligned questions, but the TV economy itself is free.
How do I set it up?
Plug your TV's cord into the smart plug, close the enclosure around both, and tighten the security screws with the included bit. Then open your Parent Hub, go to the devices section, and claim the plug on your account. From that moment, TV time is bought with Star Points.
What stops my child from just unplugging the TV?
The enclosure. The TV's cord and the smart plug are physically locked together with security screws, so pulling the cord out isn't possible. And if they pull the entire unit out of the wall, the Active Ping failsafe pauses the timer and refunds their points — the TV still won't turn on without the plug powered.
When does my order ship?
Orders ship from our Florida workshop within 3 business days via USPS, with a flat $7.99 shipping charge per order. You'll get a receipt right away and a shipping confirmation when it's on the way.
Can it control things other than the TV?
Anything that plugs into a wall and behaves like a TV — game consoles, monitors, a desktop PC screen. One plug controls one outlet, so if you want the TV and the Xbox on separate rules, order two plugs.
